A healthier choice for a healthier you!

My name is Shanta Milner, LPC, NCC, and I am a licensed therapist specializing in working with individuals, couples, and families to address a variety of challenges that may be impacting their lives.

Understanding that each person's journey is unique, I offer a comprehensive range of services tailored to meet your specific needs. Whether you're grappling with anxiety, depression, navigating life transitions, managing anger, or facing relationship issues, I am here to provide you with the support and guidance you need to move forward.

Let me shed some light on what you can expect from counseling with me. Counseling, at its core, is a confidential helping relationship where you can freely discuss the problems and emotional difficulties that you’re experiencing in your life. It’s a space where your voice is not only heard but truly listened to. Listening might seem like a simple act, but in truth, genuine listening is an art. How often do we find someone who truly hears our problems and understands our emotional struggles? How rare is it to find someone with whom we feel safe enough to delve into our deepest thoughts and feelings, to share our hurts without fear of judgment? As your counselor, I am committed to being that safe space for you. I will listen attentively, without judgment or interruption, focusing solely on you and what you need. My goal is to create an environment where you feel empowered to explore your problems and confront your emotional difficulties head-on. It’s important for you to know that I don’t claim to be the expert of your life. Instead, I bring my expertise as a counselor to the table, offering guidance and support as you navigate your unique journey. Together, we will work collaboratively to identify challenges, explore solutions, and cultivate strategies for growth and healing. Your well-being is my priority, and I am here to walk alongside you every step of the way.

My approach to therapy is eclectic, drawing from a variety of evidence-based treatments and modalities. I incorporate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based practices to create a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your goals and preferences. By working collaboratively, we can explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in a safe and nonjudgmental environment, empowering you to develop coping strategies and insights that foster positive change and growth.

If you're ready to take that step towards a brighter tomorrow, I invite you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation with me. This initial conversation will give us the opportunity to discuss your needs, answer any questions you may have, and determine if we're a good fit to work together. Your journey towards healing and growth starts here, and I'm here to support you every step of the way.

Please don't hesitate to reach out—I look forward to hearing from you and being a part of your transformative process.

"Therapy isn't about having something wrong with you; it's about having the courage to seek clarity, healing, and growth in every aspect of your life."
