I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and families. I also specialize in treating anxiety, depression, life transitions, anger management, behavioral issues, relationship issues, infidelity, and other issues that may be impacting your life. I utilize an eclectic approach, where I use different types of evidence based treatments and modalities. Some of the treatment modalities that I use are CBT, dialectical behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, and I use a lot of mindfulness based work.

So, you’re here and you’re looking for a counselor and this can be a difficult process to navigate. Here is what you can expect from counseling with me. Counseling is a confidential helping relationship where you can talk about the problems and emotional difficulties that you’re experiencing in your life. I will really listen to you. Listening sounds simple, but good listening isn’t quite as easy as it sounds. How easy is it to find someone who really listens to your problems and your emotional difficulties? How easy is it to find someone that you feel safe enough with to explore your closely guarded thoughts and feelings and share your hurts? As a good listener, I will focus on you and what you need. I will use my expertise to help you explore your problems and work on your emotional difficulties that you’re facing without judging you. I will not pretend to be the expert of your life.

Counseling is about self-development and you becoming better at dealing with problems and better at coping with difficult emotions. It’s about helping you get better at living your life. Counseling can be a great place and a safe environment to explore your experiences that has been leading up to this point of where you’re seeking counseling and we can do that together.
